This is not about a sartorial experiment but rather my book review after reading a work of non-fiction titled the 'The Big Short' by Michael Lewis. It is a story of the big financial crisis of 2008 spawned in the USA that endangered the fate of the US banking apparatus and by consequence of the world economy.  It delves into the opacity surrounding the financial instruments cooked up by collusion of power hungry and greedy marketers that operated and still operate on Wall Street and the immoral shenanigans that led to destroying the system built on the power of TRUST. While the Big Short could in the eyes of Mr. Lewis be merely a tale of a few autistic savants and shrewd investigators that accidentally foresaw the big tsunami of sub-prime mortgage loan defaults before the large Wall Street firms did there is also an underlying crusade to expose the wrong doings of chosen few. America is agog with election fever.  At least a section of society seems to be.  There are all sorts of debates among those that are vying for the top job.  That to be the POTUS.  Not a Lotus as many a yogini will encourage but a POTUS.  President of the USA. Now why someone would want to willingly subject themselves to the humiliation of being interviewed by dimwits and put into prepared arguments and debates is beyond me.  But the viewership is certainly driving sales for Shampoos, Cars, BreathMints, Mattresses and Auto, Home or Life Insurance products.  Or so the targeted marketing experts think. It seems it boils down to this - who does America trust with a bunch of nuclear weapons?  Can they leave someone called Mickey or Goofy to watch them? I am a fan of the Charlie Rose show on American Public Television.  I record all of them and then selectively watch them as I vegetate. On couple of recent interviews with the accomplished citizenry that he invites to talk, I heard a lot about resumes vs. eulogies.  The thought is that people often work hard at building an image of who they are when they are alive but often forget to think beyond. Now truth be told that the very accomplished end up in an ideal spot where they effectively give away all that they made when living, which sets them up for a nice eulogy.  But the message was clear.  We need to pay attention to more Living and less Chasing. When our electronic devices remind us that there is only critical amount of juice left to perform critical tasks (not text your latest hobby to your thousand friends but make that all important phone call you have been putting off), we seem to go on a panic attack and want to find the nearest charging temple ...
