A trip to visit a couple University campuses in the south. No reason. Just explore their verdant grounds. Stop by for a good meal in the surrounds and drive back via small detours to visit the furniture making epicenter of the world. We visited University of North Carolina's Chapel Hill campus. Followed by Duke. They are both located in the Raleigh area of NC state.
Former is part of the public school system and the latter is a private institution named for an industrialist and with foundations or religious affiliation with Methodist branch of Christianity.
The campus of each school is nestled amidst dense Carolina pines a few miles west of the state capital of Raleigh. This area has recently grown in popularity with many tech companies finding an eastern footprint where costs of doing business are lower than Silicon Valley.
Both are renowned for their research grants and quality of academic excellence and the alumni that go on to grace many sectors.
Below are some pics of the trip.
