I cannot believe the jargon that spews out of the variety of mouths occupying space on this planet. Not only do they occupy and then highlight it as such but they also contribute dramatically to the issue of global warming. If they all kept quiet I think Antarctic penguins might continue to have a home? Perhaps more people could at some point move to Iceland?
Getting back to jargon - enough has not been said about the notion of SAME SEX marriages - make that marriages in general.
I mean first it was the quintessential question from the uninformed to any Indian that showed up with a spouse on American shores - Was your marriage arranged? Now how to answer this loaded one depends on your mindset. I for one chose to go the route of - It was certainly not Disarranged.
Whatever that informs the questioner is left to the intellect of the questioner - not my problem.
Then we move onto the more arcane world of SAME SEX. First of all the notion of sex in a marriage is so vague and subjective as to cause the use of words like Sex and Marriage in the same arrangement to be beyond absurd.
Nonetheless lets dive in here - what does the three letter arrangement mean? What is same about sex? If it is (same) why continue to pursue said exertion? Then again why bother marrying to find out what sameness feels like? Also why talk about it? More importantly why fight for it? What is the big deal folks?
Then someone tapped me on the shoulder and clarified that it was not the SAMENESS but that they were referring to HOMOSEXUAL nature of marriage. Which further confused me - I mean we are all HOMO SAPIENS. Then why keep calling it HOMO anything? Are there other arrangements I missed reading about?
Today's world is hyper connected. I am not so sure what it means but you hear it a lot. It is probably hyper but not sure how connected it is. Sugar (fermented or not) is available in many ways than before and so getting hyper is easy. It is probably more a threat than cocaine since it is sold legally. And what is this connected stuff? Most people I encounter seem disconnected from reality. So going back to this assumption that we are connected there are subtle and no so subtle instances of how brands and companies and middle men try to portray someone - A linkedin profile for somebody working for X years at a place advertises to the connected network that so and so is CELEBRATING X years @ Such and Such Inc. Do we know if (s)he is celebrating or cringing? Perhaps a better way to portray will be - So and So LASTED X years @ such & such inc. Then it exhorts the readership to go ahead and congratulate them for this lasting effe...
Homo sapiens keep finding new ways to exhibit our lack of intelligence.
